LESSON NINE

Today's lesson deals with location, location, location.  Where is your movie going to be filmed and more importantly, which location is going to be on your movie poster?  Is it going to be an indoor or outdoor shot?  Is it going to be daytime or night?  Which season is it going to be?  Refer back to your description from yesterday. After choosing the perfect location or online photo, upload it to your blog as is and label it as LOCATION, what else?  Give me a brief statement as to why you chose this photograph or photographs.  Yes, you can use more than one and create a collage effect.  The location photo(s) need to be manipulated in some way rather than just using it as is. I will be checking all photos uploaded to your blog to make sure each one has been manipulated.

You should have your description of your movie, your actors/actresses and your location.  Now it's time to start putting makeup on your actors to make them look the way they will in your movie.  Add beards and mustaches, change hair color or take off all hair, make them look older, injured, abused, wicked, etc.  You have GOT to make changes from the original photos.  You may even change their clothes.  The object is not to find an actor's photo online and use it as is.  That would not show me your skill in photo manipulation.  Have your makeup or photo manipulation enhance the appearance of your actors.  Once this assignment is completed, upload them to your blog as well as ACTORS/ACTRESSES.

Good luck,

Mr. Hewett
